I can honestly say I'm happier that the Bucks won't be getting Murphy. Giving up Ilyasova or a first round pick seem absurd, who knows how good the player that pick could end up producing will be. We know what Murphy is and he doesn't get MIlwaukee much further than they already are.

The best part of the above trade is that it only reduces Cleveland's projected wins by 1.

Picking up on another comment here, I was wondering about the back-up PG situation if Ridnour got moved. But can't you find someone off the scrap heap to do that?

If the Bucks are shopping Ersan at all, they may have a better offer than Cleveland for Amare.

I'd be more than a bit surprised if they move Ridnour or Thomas. They are pretty key backups right now, mainly because of the positions (1 and 5). Unless the Bucks think Bell could back up Jennings? And really, I like Gadzuric and Elson, right where they are, as the most expensive 14 feet of Dutch bench-warmer in the world...

And I also would wonder whether Murphy is really a Skiles player, like Ilyasova definitely is, in the effort category. Say what you will, but the 22-yr-old Turk (or 25-yr-old Uzbek???) hustles like his hair's fire.

-I really hope the Bucks, do not move Ersan! If they do move Ersan, they might be moving Dirk again.

-Moving Ridnour would be very risky as the Bucks would have no back up point guard at all, much less a good one.

-I think moving Thomas, Warrick, Alexander, and (previously unmentioned) Meeks would have minimal effect on the Bucks. Probably a bad idea to move Thomas and Warrick in the same trade unless we get a solid big man in return.

-It would be nice for the Bucks to acquire a young athletic shooting guard and especially a first round pick considering that the upcoming draft class is dominated by big men. The Bucks maybe should look at trading with the Nets who apparently are shopping Chris Douglass Roberts, Courtney Lee, and Devin Harris?

I've been rooting for Ersan since he was with the Bucks the first time and I'd hate to see him go. I don't really think that Murphy would be that big of an upgrade now and especially not in the future. That being said, is he going to fix that shot of his? I don't remember him shooting so silly earlier in his career.

I'd be perfectly ok with Thomas going for a second-round pick.
