I have no idea why the Jazz traded Ronnie Brewer either. But if it makes you feel better, I am now an ex-Jazz fan who since that trade has jumped to the Grizzlies and will now root against the Jazz every chance I get. So.... GO BUCKS!

I'm an optimist just like anyone out there but there is no way you could convince me that a team with Millsap and Korver coming off the bench doesn't have the advantage on the bench. If you look at Utah's bench production, it's monster. Also Matthews is more than just a good story. The kid is a legit defender. Think of him in the Bruce Bowen-mold. He makes you work hard for every point. Take a look at who he defends every night and how he defends them and you might see why the Jazz felt they could still be a contender without Brewer. The Jazz still would be better with Brewer but Matthews can shoot, dunk, and defend. He is Jerry Sloan's protege.
