A team that acquires him and doesn’t think he’ll pass the physical can waive the physical I believe, since he’s being acquired for the sake of his contract rather than his playing ability. If that’s the case at least. If a team trades for him thinking he’ll come in scoring 30 points a night, he’ll probably fail their physical right now and things won’t work out. Everyone must know the deal with Redd at this point though.
