I think he cares and I think he's in shape, I just don't think he has the explosion he had last year, and he didn't have much last year. His knee isn't 100% and he's probably being asked to do too much with Delfino out since Mbah a Moute can't create anything.

I'm beginning to think the Bucks should have only offered Salmons a one year trial contract, he looks like a veteran player just going through the motions out there. He either doesn't care or he isn't in shape but night after night the Bucks keep running plays for him like it was last year. Well its clearly not last year, he isn't just playing bad, he is playing his way out of the league, you can't have the focal point of your offense shooting the ball at a 34% clip. I thought he was really embarassing last night, How many times did he weakly try to take the ball into the paint and get his shot swatted back in his face. Its not just his offense that is bad, his defense has also taken a step backwards and he is getting scored on a lot this year. He is a step slow getting to his man and it doesn't seem to matter who he is guarding from night to night, they all score at a high rate.(anyone remember Shannon Brown) If Salmons played with half the juice or competitive spirit that Brandon Jennings plays with, this team would be above .500!

<a href="#comment-4245" rel="nofollow">@Clint Haas </a>
I'd say something needs to happen with Salmons by the 20 game mark. Either he starts playing like an NBA player or he sees a minute reduction until he does. CD-R's defense will likely keep him out of the starting lineup for a while though, but Skiles sounded hopeful that it will come around eventually. I'm not 100% certain.

Is it too early to be thinking of starting CDR over Salmons or do you think Skiles will continue starting Salmons and then benching him if his shots aren't going in? CDR did look fairly lost on D a couple of times (letting Deron Williams dribble up in a half court set and take a wide open 3 comes to mind) but that should get better the more game time he gets.
