Buck Hits: Jennings out, team’s season in peril, also Bucks news

After a promising Texas swing, the Bucks find themselves reeling after a loss that saw the Bucks squander a 12 point lead early on against a Jazz team that refused to give up. What do we have afterwards? We have the news that Brandon Jennings fractured a bone in his left foot, and will miss approximately 4-6 weeks. Corey Maggette did not travel with the team out west battling concussive symptoms. We also have Buck Hits.

Looking Ahead

The Bucks are in Portland tonight, facing an equally banged up team. Jeremy’s optimistic read can be found here, while Brew Hoop provides another perspective on tonight’s game.

Additional Coverage

In case you’d like to read more about how banged up the Bucks are, the Sydney Morning Herald has a lengthy piece reminding us how banged up our beloved Aussie Andrew Bogut still is.

After Jennings recovers from his foot injury, AND after this season, AND if there’s a lockout next season, Jennings will probably play overseas. Very conditional statement, but interesting to hear Jennings doesn’t want to wait around for the NBA if an opportunity to play elsewhere arises.

Power Rankings

Marc Stein leaves the Bucks at 17 in the power rankings. While Hollinger’s rating scale has the Bucks ranked all the way up to 16th.

Bucks remain ranked 20th at NBA.com.
