Buck Hits: No Jennings yet, Temple of Doom

The news keeps getting better, Bucks fans! Not only is Corey Maggette ailing with a sore hand, but Brandon Jennings was not cleared to practice yesterday as the Bucks had hoped. The news is getting harder to find while interest in the team is waining. Here are today’s anemic Buck Hits:

01/24/11 Bucks @ Bulls

Box Score

Game Notes: Kurt Thomas.

I forgot to post this a week ago when I found it, but Andrew Bogut is the NBA’s best blocker in more ways than one, according to one blogger’s statistics. His findings are based on Block Recovery Rate, which is just another statistic that I can’t believe is being tallied.

In case you haven’t heard, the Bucks have signed Garrett Temple (of Doom) to a 10 day contract. Welcome Garrett, we expect you to play the role of both Jerry Stackhouse and John Salmons while you fight to get off the bench.

JSOnline has a video interview with Luc Mbah a Moute, talking about struggling to get their rhythm. I know it’s a stretch to compare the two teams, but the Packers are heading to the Super Bowl weeks after being left for dead with injuries. If the Bucks don’t figure it out and turn things around, they’ll become one of the softest teams in the league one year after being one of the grittiest. Dark days, deer fans.
