This was the quintessential game that can summarize Milwaukee's play all season: Struggle out the gate and get down big early, scratch and claw back into it, go on a second-third quarter run in which it looks like the Bucks could be world beaters, then they lose their nerves in the fourth. This team seriously needs a real go to guy or closer, and Salmons ain't him.

I was at the game last night, and when the Bucks came with energy, they were amazing. When they attacked the rim and forced Orlando to defend, they were close to unstoppable. I was right by the Orlando bench, and Stan Van Gundy was livid with some of Orlando's plays down the stretch, he called out a play, they decided to run a different one. And come on, no Bogut and the Magic are sent to OT? I call that a good game.

And yes, you guys overpaid for Salmons, thank you for taking him, by the way (I live in Chicago), but if you push him, he'll play. He just isn't a good jump shooter. It is sad, but the Bucks still have a chance here. That Pacers game is going to be huge.

Things do look bleak right now. It would be great if Gooden could return and the final month was played at near full health, just so everyone could see how that worked out.

[...] Jeremy Schmidt of Bucksketball: “Overtime? The Magic needed overtime to topple a Bucks team without Bogut? They did. Milwaukee’s offensive issues have been well documented this season, but what’s kind of flown under the radar has been their ability to drag their opponents into the muck with them, make them fight it out on the same level. They pulled this trick off once again against the heavily favored Magic. Sure, Howard had a big game, but the Bucks sent him to the free throw line 24 times to earn those points. Howard obliged and made just 13.” [...]

I don't even want the Buck's in the playoffs. Let someone else look terrible in the spotlight. And I'm not even saying that because I'm in the "lottery pick camp". I don't even care about that. Unless they pick 1-4 it's just going to be another role player anyways. It pains me to say this, but this team is pathetic and should be heavily reconsidered in the offseason.
