Adding to my last comment for the Kings perspective. Jennings, Thornton, and Evans would be exactly what this team needs moving into a new arena next year, or even if they stay in Sacto. Jennings, Thornton and Evans actually would remind me a lot of the Bucks hay days of Cassell, Allen, and Big Dog.

I myself think the Bucks would be in position to grab the 4th seed in the East with a few minor moves. Maggette needs to go, that is for sure, but with the draft being what some people consider weak, I doubt we can package him with the 10th to do a deal. All these rumors are swirling that the Lakers are strongly pursuing Jennings, and I think a swap of Maggette, Jennings, and contract filler for either Odom or Gasol and Steve Blake would make a lot of sense for this team moving forward. Jennings does not want to be a part of this team, he wants the lights on him, he will not get that here even if we won rings. If we do not move the pick, look for the Bucks to try a minor deal to move up, and get a player like Kemba Walker. Walker possesses exactly what Hammonds wants in his PG, a proven winner who will do anything it takes to get the job done. Jennings/Maggette/ and the 10th to the Kings for the 7th and Jason Thompson would seem like a solid move to me.

The Bucks should use the tenth pick as leverage to get rid of Corey Meggette. Meggette has not fit in well at all. I think he is largely the reason the Bucks folded this year. Sure they had injuries, but they had the players to overcome those injuries. Meggette has been a cancer to every team he has played on. Meggette can score, but refuses to play defense and is a selfish player. Milwaukee will have to make a lopsided trade to get rid of Meggette and his contract. I would try to trade Meggette, the 10th pick and Jon Brockman for a veteran swingman that is a good defender and can knock down the open three. Some might wonder, why Brockman? Brockman doesn't get the minutes he deserves or needs and Milwaukee already has Drew Gooden, Larry Sanders and Ersan Ilyasova. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute gets some minutes at power forward as well. The Bucks simply have too many players at one spot, Brockman will be the easiest to trade because of his contract and age. Some move needs to be made.

I don't think we should trade the pick for a veteran, namely because it is obvious we are more than a simple veteran away from a decent playoff position next season. Rather, I would package the pick with a bad contract to get it off the books. Call all 29 other teams and see if they would be interested in Gooden, Salmons, or Maggette and mention that the pick is up for grabs. Perhaps we can even get our stake into next year's draft, which is looking to be a much better than this year's.

Especially with Skiles, I don't see how any rookie will make any kind of an impact.
