Category: Buck Hits

They’re back! After a lockout-sized hiatus, Buck Hits have returned to bring you the very best of the Bucks from around the web. Much to discuss, so without further adieu…
Recap
12/27/11 Bucks v. Wolves
Analysis: JSOnline, Brewhoop, We’re Bucked
Power Rankings
Marc Stein: 17
NBA.com: 17
Charles Gardner: 16
- Charles Gardner at JSOnline writes about the Bucks’ strong bench play over the first two games of the season.
- The guys over at Brew Hoop have a very interesting series regarding what should be viewed as success or failure on a player by player basis. The most recent study: Stephen Jackson.
- Gery Woelfel is reporting that the Bucks still have their eye on Joel Pryzbilla. How they will make room for Joel on the roster remains to be seen. Marc Stein tweets Przybilla Sweepstakes includes the Heat, Clippers and Mavericks too.
The Rest
- Tom Enlund sat down with Terry Porter to discuss his time as coach of the Bucks. Porter spoke fondly, saying, “We had some fun times and we had some challenging times while I was here, but I enjoyed that experience.
- In an ever so appropriate move, Michael Redd has signed with the athletic staff of the Phoenix Suns. Phoenix is well known for it’s fountain of youth, shaping Grant Hill into the player he never could be early in his career and keeping Steve Nash on the court at least 70 games every season since he re-joined the team in 2005. It does not sound like the Bucks will face Redd in the team’s visit to Phoenix, as it sounds like he’s weeks away from game shape.
“Michael Redd has a proven pedigree as a first-rate NBA scorer. He will work with our renowned training staff to get into basketball shape. When he is ready to play, Michael will be a welcome addition to our team.”
