Even if the Boston Herald is correct, the teams would be using Miralles as a vehicle to complete the trade. Many trades have this, including the Kirk Hinrich to the Wizards deal in recent years. The new CBA is supposed to streamline this process, but who knows.

So far, Hammond has quietly done well with few resources without signing anyone long-term. A glance at the Bucks line-up shows that in two years, virtually everyone is off the payroll and Drew Gooden will probably be amnestied at some point down the line. It is the Boston Celtics model.

Additionally, with the good teams getting better and the bad teams getting worst in the East, the Bucks should be able to secure a bottom-half playoff spot.

I’ll take your word for it. The Boston Herald report is the most recent report. However it is the only one I’ve seen that mentions Albert Miralles. Charles Gardner and a few other places reported that it was a trade exception. Most reports say that it is unclear what the trade is for. It has yet to be officially announced.

@Andrew I think we'll just have to wait and see. Two conflicting reports. This Herald report seems fairly logical, but who knows. Ultimately, it looks like the team rids itself of Dooling and either gets a guy who will never play in Milwaukee or gets a conditional pick, or gets nothing. It's all pretty much the same thing. Thanks for the updating though Andrew, appreciate it.

The Boston Herald disagrees:

“The Celtics won’t have to give up much for Dooling and a second round draft pick – merely the rights to Albert Miralles, whose rights they acquired from Miami in the 2005 Antoine Walker trade. Miralles currently plays in Italy …”

Maybe they lie, it is Boston.

Forgive me for the Dooling error. A lot of conflicting reports. However you are wrong as well, there is no random play from overseas. The Bucks however did get a handy little trade exception which will be fantastic for roster flexibility.

As for the Bell news, we are aware and we are deeply saddened. Hopefully this isn’t another Vin Baker situation.

We actually traded Dooling and a 2nd round pick to Boston for some random guy that plays overseas. Why? I have no idea.

Also, Charlie Bell showed up to court today for his drunk driving case and was detained for being legally drunk.
