Once Henson gets a lil bit of a consistant mid range jumper he’s really going to be a factor. He’s gonna affect games on the defensive end from day one!

@Wombat02 I’m sure part of it is ego, because every player traditionally values himself higher than projections.. but there is also the fact that he has to earn his spot and salary(which is significantly less and not guaranteed)

Why do players who start to slip feel bad? The lower you go the better the team you end up on.

Boy did Doron Lamb not look happy to be a Buck.. John looked exuberant as usual, but he is a true professional.. it could just be that he was mad that he slipped so far, but can we at least get a smile.. you are in the NBA now

@Machu46 totally understand the skepticism, but if someone told you that you could have a younger and more talented version of Larry Sanders, would you take it? Don’t forget that Sanders is getting bumped to $3 million if the team decides to exercise that option.. a little pricey for what he brings

I am happy with this pick. Dalembert is the stop gap while Henson develops (and puts on weight, I hope). We’ll soon have a young core of bigs with Henson, Sanders, and Udoh. Yes, we still need a three, but the league is fuuuuull of threes. Having an influx of 6’10″ guys is alright. It would be nice if one were a little more girthy, but I expect we’ll be seeing a three-man rotation of bigs in the near future (assuming Dalembert and Gooden don’t stick around that long).

I wonder if Tobias is our starting three next year? Jennings – Ellis – Harris – Gooden – Dalembert, with Udroh – Delfino? – Dunleavy – Sanders – Udoh coming in, and Henson once Gooden’s back finally gives out.

Big fan of the Lamb pick. Very skeptical of the Henson choice though. Seems incredibly redundant, but man, if he turns into the best case scenario according to DX (Marcus Camby), I’d be exstatic.

I was very shocked that Henson kept falling…Toronto really reached for Ross which helped I think. I am very happy with this draft.
