we can /hope/ for the 5th seed, but the majority opinion is that at least 3 out of the 4 teams you suggested the Bucks were better than will probably perform much better than the Bucks. It's good to have high hopes, but Bucksketball.com and Jeremy Schmidt are often very pessimistic (Read an article of his from April: http://www.bucksketball.com/2012/04/owning-pessimism-why-it-doesnt-make-you-a-bad-person/ )

Don't get me wrong, I believe that the Bucks could reach as high as the 5th seed if Jennings and Monta play effectively, Ersan keeps playing really well, Dalembert is what they hope for, Whoever the starting 3 is plays well, and younguns like Harris and Henson keep improving, sure. If everything goes right, this team has a 5th seed ceiling. Just my opinion though.

All interviews with players & management seem to indicate that they all realize how important the team effort will be. If there is a 'spoiler' in the group, we will soon see them on the end of the bench.

The Bucks are beyond deserving a year not plagued by injuries and it has to happen for this team to perform at optimum level.

For all intents & purposes, the Bucks played .500 ball last year. Can't count last couple games Skiles let all the rookies play and benched the starters. I don't think 6th seed is a reach if they stay healthy, and I don't mean to imply that's their ceiling.

I really like the upgraded site. I just dont like the banner line "8th seed or bust" Is that really the best we can hope for as Bucks fans? I certainly hope not. I think we could be the fifth best team in the east. Here's my preseason picks: 1-Miami, 2-Philly, 3-New York, 4-Chicago(still a good team even with no Rose), then 5-Milwaukee, and 6 through 8 will be between Indiana, Atlanta, Boston and Brooklyn. Realistically I think its Miami and then everyone else, but at least the Bucks should be able to make some noise. We've got a ton of size, and not to mention the fastest starting backcourt. The thing is that the Bucks roster is all role players, i hope Skiles can get them all to embrace that fact and play unselfishly. If they can play as a team and not worry about minutes and stats, theres enough talent here to be a really really tough team to beat. Anyways ive been reading posts on here for a couple of years and really like what u guys do, I just wanted to say thanks and keep up the good work! Go Bucks!
