I am completely on board with playing Lamb more, however that leaves them one turned ankle away from only having three guards if they only get draft picks back for Ellis. The other issue is the type of team who would trade for Ellis would probably being a contender looking for an instant offense off the bench type guy(think the role Jason Terry played for the Mavs against the Heat). That would mean the picks wouldn't have value anyway if I am right. That being said, if the Gooden shopping can bring back a guard or two for the rotation who can shoot the 3 ball, it would be ok by me to shop Ellis.

As a bucks fan I am very appreciative of our talent level right now, and sure Jennings and Ellis are very exciting and among the best in the league on a given night. However neither are consistent or exceptionally good in the half-court. The other thing is that our bench routinely outplays our starting backcourt. If this trend continues I certainly hope something happens come the trade deadline.

Our team has young talent, look to the future and get a draft pick or two and in the meantime let Lamb and Daniels play for better or worse. Sure they aren't the offensive talents that Ellis is, but they are both a hell of a lot more accountable on D and Lamb is a sharpshooter. I've seen enough of Ellis, he has some very flashy talent but when all things are considered (fg%, defense, his height, shot selection) he's not that great of a player.

We aren't going to get rid of anyone right now. When BJ has a night where he drops 5 - 3's in a row to win the game, we will all be gitty as school girls again!

Best hope us that Lamb develops quickly and gives us more play options?

Go Bucks!

I would rather see them offload Ellis, but I don't see that happening since they are so thin in the backcourt already and I doubt they would get anyone of substance for him in a year they need to capitalize on.

I think the easiest(and maybe only) way to improve significantly would be to swing a trade for a shooter. One team that I think could work in that regard would be Orlando. It looks like they aren't going anywhere this year, so if they are so inclined perhaps the Bucks could find a way to pry JJ Redick from the Magic to help them tank a bit and improve their draft position. That trade may have to wait until after Dec 15 so that the whole roster can be included since they would likely only accept an expiring contract that they could buy out right away, which would leave only Daniels and Przybilla since everyone else expiring is important to the team this year.

I hate to say this, but I think Monta's lack of free throw attempts is self preservation.. contract year with a guy that has an early termination option.. hopefully it will kick in his head that his value is dropping by not getting to the line, but who knows?
