that being said. other then Udoh’s big block and Go ahead basket (how did that craziness go in???) last night, I have thought that Larry has overall played better than Udoh, (and most of our bigs) this year. Im not trying to take a shot at larry. I’ve been one of the only believers since we drafted him at 14 (15?). He has filled the void at backup Center very nicely and theres only so much you can ask out of a 23 year old 3rd year player. Im just saying theres always room for improvement and hopefully he continues to grow.

Great win for the bucks after i had almost given up hope. Lets keep it rollin boys!! When was the last time we heard the bucks had a game in a half lead on the division heading into December? I know its early, but other then the loss to Charlotte, the bucks have looked like a team thats semi-serious this year. They took Miami to OT in Miami , with D-wade back. I can feel the buzz about this team in the air. and look forward to watching them play ball in late april and into May

true. larry has definitely progressed comming into this year. but i think thats because if he didn’t he would be playing in the D-League. He has been getting it inside but everytime he touches the ball outside the paint, he starts to put it on the floor, and that scares me more than watching Julius Peppers comming untouched at aaron rodgers. Larry is a presence on the court, but not an overly valuable asset to this team. Hes made strides and deserves credit and minutes i wont take that away from him. But, He makes a great play, then goes to the other side of the court and makes a bonehead play, or starts crying to the refs and gets a technical and gives the other team free points and possession. Watch the little things on the court. If larry has 10 pts 8 rebs and 3 blocks in a game, the stats make him look like he was a huge precense. but its the little things that i look at that drives me nuts about larry. When hes playing defense, the offensive player will box him out of the lane leaving easy baskets. He’ll over pursue help on the top of the key when his man sets a screen, leaving him a wide open cut to the hoop. Id rather see the other team take a 20 foot jump shot, then a cutting PF with an easy dunk. then when he’s on the block he tends to lack helpside defense or have to much helpside d and hack the guy instead of just altering his shot. No in between, and i think that is where dalembert needs to keep taking larry under his wing. He also tends to look lost on the offensive end. I’ve never seen a big man (besides dirk) receive passes at the top of the key, turn his back to the basket and dribble out of control like that, only to shoot a turnaround 18 footer that is so not close to going in the ball almost misses the floor..

I think your thinking of last year’s larry. this year larry has been smart and efficient and taking it incide. also, gooden is still a quality player but doesn’t have the fastbreak and passing skills that this team thrives on.

i hope some of this article had some severe sarcasm in it. Larry Sanders is an important part of this team? I like larry. he plays hard and with emotion. but if larry sanders was in a suit and drew gooden had his uni on. i can assure you the bucks would be just as fine if not better. Larry lacks intelligence on the offensive end, and constantly is shooting the 20 foot jumper which is not in his bag of tricks. on the defensive end he is solid, but like Udoh, racks up fouls faster than rebounds! nothing udoh/dalembert cant do. Gooden NEEDS MINUTES. He has put up numbers every year no matter what team he plays on. This guy played out of position on a non playoff contending team for us all of last year while being outsized and pushed around and still put up good numbers and minutes. How do we reward him? by paying him 6 million this year to dress like skiles (both look crisp and fresh in those suits) and sit on the sidelibe.

2ndly. Udoh all star watch? gimme a break guy. Like Larry he has his moments but thinks he is much more gifted on the offensive end than he really is. I mean dont get me wrong. i am a fan of all 15 men on the roster (even alando tucker still) but i mean lets be real here guy. Sanders and Udoh are just fillin space until the FUTCHA!(John Henson) is ready to take on the roll behind ilyasova.
