Milwaukee Bucks 90 Final
Recap | Box Score
86 Cleveland Cavaliers
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, PF 36 MIN | 4-7 FG | 1-4 FT | 7 REB | 6 AST | 9 PTS | +5
Another solid game from Mbah a Moute. Efficient scoring to go along with seven rebounds, six assists and four steals. His return has had an huge impact on the Bucks half-court defense. Also, according to his post game interview, six assists is his career high.
Larry Sanders, C 30 MIN | 4-7 FG | 2-2 FT | 10 REB | 2 AST | 10 PTS | -2
Sanders returned after missing Sunday’s game due to illness. He said that he was still sick tonight, but that didn’t stop him from getting a bare minimum double-double. He also only had two fouls. His butter fingers returned for a few plays but whatever. That’s just Larry being Larry.
Monta Ellis, PG 40 MIN | 12-24 FG | 8-11 FT | 6 REB | 4 AST | 33 PTS | +5Very good game from Ellis. Six turnovers is a lot but there’s no way that the Bucks win this game without his scoring outburst. He looked much more willing to drive and dish or dish and get fouled. He still has no business shooting four three pointers. Games like this increase his likelihood of opting out this summer.
Brandon Jennings, PG 42 MIN | 5-20 FG | 4-4 FT | 1 REB | 8 AST | 16 PTS | +3Oh boy. Sixteen points on twenty shots. He shot 25% from the field and 22% from three. He continued to not receive foul calls when he drove to hoop and he continued to complain about it. On defense, he, like most point guards in the NBA, couldn’t contain Kyrie Irving and at some points he couldn’t contain Donald Sloan. He did make that sky drop layup, though, and that was pretty neat.
Ersan Ilyasova, SF 25 MIN | 4-10 FG | 2-2 FT | 8 REB | 2 AST | 11 PTS | -4The return of the Turkish Trampoline! Ilyasova looked much more aggressive around the hoop tonight grabbing four offensive rebounds and he even made a shot without pump faking. Woah baby!

Four Things We Saw

  1. Another tight rotation tonight from Scott Skiles. Only eight players received significant playing time, with Drew Gooden getting some burn early in the second quarter after Ilyasova got into foul trouble.
  2. I enjoy watching Kyrie Irving play basketball.
  3. Both teams shot 39% from the field with the Cavaliers shooting 50% from three point range. The Cavaliers had 27 turnovers.
  4. The Bucks are now tied for first place in the Central division.
