This is well said. Coach seems fair, and would prefer learned team-play than star-play. And I too appreciate that he does not coddle these professionals.

Dalembert seems slow right now, certainly compared to those players who took his spot. He may loosen up though, like Udoh appears more agile lately to me.

And perhaps we may come into multiple injuries, in which case all these good big men will be a luxury. Maybe when possessions get more concentrated, games become slower, Dalembert could keep up and offer his experience.

No one could've been impressed with Joel the other night. It must be difficult to jump right in there. Nevertheless, I trust him not to screw things up either.

Finally, as for Henson, I see why he was benched. He'll get another chance soon. I just didn't see how that body matures this year. Sheer will is his forte at that age.

When have we seen 1,2,3,4,5,6 big men who can all contribute? Our one glut position, and none are injured now.

Hasn't it always been this way, either players learn Skile's system or they don't get consistent minutes? The only exceptions I've seen are Jennings when he was a rookie, which had more to do with him being seen as a building block, and now Ellis who is a one-year rental with the potential to make this team a 4 seed.

Dalembert isn't the same skill level of Ellis, so he has to learn the system like everyone else. Hell, Delfino even got minutes, a lot of them, and that had everything to do with Maggette and Jackson being too good to put in the effort to learn a defensive system on the lowly Milwaukee Bucks.

Skiles will stick to his guns, whether it costs us wins (which it has in the past) or not. I will say this though, as far as fairness goes he's consistent with what it takes to get on the court. These guys are way overpaid to not put in the effort to learn whatever team's system they're playing for, I'm sick of Maggettes and Jacksons showing up and whining -- hopefully Dalembert will stop being stubborn and learn to play the defense the same as the rest of the team.
