i agree on a being a little looser especially with little bumps on perimeter that have no effect to the game but when someone is attacking the basket and their whole hand gets smacked or in jennings case if the guy completely gets his whole body moving in a different direction i would think nba refs would be smart enough to call those everytime

Im not going to say whether it is fair or not but Jennings has been a starter for 3.5 seasons now and it is very clear he isn’t going to get the calls like other more prominent pgs would. I blame it on his small stature and finesse play.

To tell you the truth I think we see enough phantom foul calls in the NBA, I prefer refs who call the game a bit looser.

i was there as well and completely agree. we were getting called non stop for moving screens, travels , and fouls some were good calls most were bad, but most importantly the rockets were doing the EXACT same thing and didnt get called for almost anything. the calls that went against us were the everyday nba plays that dont get called yet every single one got called on us.

i had seats right at center court 2 row upper level, i saw everything on both sides it was ridiculous

Yeah…lack of calls was getting under BJ skin. Ellis griped at ref about not calling fouls on him & BJ while going to the hoop, but Ellis got called on some dumb bump on the perimeter.

Talk about giving someone the stink eye…how about that look on Delfino face as he ran past the Bucks bench after sinking his 5th or 6th 3pt shot?

also now that you mention it I do recall a time when Brandon finally did get a whistle drawn and usually he is very vocal about lack of calls, he complains alot, but when he finally got the call in his favor he just death stared the ref, so maybe on TV we didnt see all of what was going on on the court that u guys got to see live.

watching it on TV it didnt look all that unbiased to me personally, it looked a little one sided to the Rockets but it generally is since the Bucks dont draw many fouls, However I do agree that the game was poorly officiated they called alot of ticky tack fouls on the perimeter on moving screens both ways but swallowed their whistles as people drove into the paint Even Harden only got to the line 7 times which is 3 below his season average

One thing that I just want to add here, I was at the game and had great seats so perhaps I saw things a little too close up…but… I think this is the WORST OFFICIATED game of the season so far. We didn’t get hardly any calls. Beno got knocked down twice. …No whistle. Brandon when he was trying to make things happen was getting knocked around by Asik and Patterson like a pinball machine… ….No whistles.

Look, our turnovers are inexcusable and lack of defense (especially on Carlos) was horrible, but those refs missed calls. Almost blatantly… how many times did they have to review or “double check” who last touched the ball or who it was out on last night. It was a joke. Again, I am not trying to justify our mistakes, but we were hammered with no benefits multiple times in that 2nd half.

They better get these problems under control soon. Things aren’t getting any easier, our schedule is evenly challenging.

Jeremy, thank you for not posting the first two or three drafts of this report. I appreciate your restraint. Buck bashing too easy…like shooting fish in a barrel.

Your analysis is spot on. I like the perspective on defending the corner threes. Always gain insight from you. Hopefully, the Bucks gain some insight and make some serious adjustments in their (everyone’s) game. 19 turnovers in the second half (most uncontested) needs to stop NOW.
