At the risk of sounding crazy, it seems to me
that Larry Sanders is in his defensive play at least
a little bit Bill Russell-esque. Also, he seems to be
gradually developing a very good offensive game with
a lot of potential both inside and medium-range.
If he can grown in savvy while still maintaining his youthful exuberance, he could be an outstanding and exciting player
for years to come. To me, he's one of the brightest
hopes for the Bucks! He seems likeable, and I wish him well professionally and personally.

Couldn't help but pay attention to Larry's reaction to fouls called against him last night. Camera was right in his face too. He was determined to NOT react...even a little grin?

As a couch sports psychologist, it's easy to say these guys have to stay in control of their emotions. However, the reality is that these guys are banging, grabbing and hacking at each other throughout the game. (Did I mention they are probably saying nasty things about the other guy's mother too?) Only saving grace is that they don't all drink beer & whiskey before, during and after the games!

He'll have to learn how to channel his enthusiasm and brush off the frustration or it will keep him from being the best that he can be. In the NBA...it's that simple.
