Reporters seek objective insight, they can't concern themselves with how it affects players. I mean Brandon Jennings makes millions of dollars to play basketball, I'm not exactly going to cry for him if some false rumor was created. The way he plays, carries himself, and speaks makes me think that there is some truth to the report. Either way he's not playing well which matters more than all of this hearsay.

Thanks for the response, Jon.

How does Tobias go about improving
his defensive game, and does he have
the potential to be good as a defender
and rebounder?

Is he so bad on defense that he doesn't
merit even 15 minutes per game?

Since you say that you would like to
see him play more, too, what would
you like his role to be for the rest
of the season?

Do you still think Harris is a star
in the making or not so much?

Please excuse all the questions, but
they are sincere. It's okay if you
don't answer. I really don't see
myself as an expert, but the fun of
the blog is being able to express
opinions enthusiastically and to learn
from others.

I think he currently lacks the defensive awareness/footwork/quickness to get major minutes if the team's goal is to make the playoffs. His post game would definitely be helpful on offense and of course I'd like to see him play more, too. But if playoffs are the goal, then he probably won't be seeing much action.

My story was a bit "fantastic", but knowing how something like that report by Ford could negatively impact a player's career, that leak source was unprofessional. How could anyone think that was going to be a help to Jennings at this time?

Maybe Jon Hartzell can help me out here,
one way or another, regarding Tobias Harris,
since his author profile reads that he
believes Harris is the team's future star.

My pleas to get Harris 15-30 minutes of
playing time per game has met with little
or no enthusiasm from the other bloggers
on this site, which is not a dig at them,
just an observation.

I would very much like to see Harris get
a chance right now: maybe 20 minutes per
game for the next 30 or so games, as long
as he plays hard physically and mentally
and also tries to fit in with the team.

For one thing, Harris seems to be the only
guy outside of the starting guards who
can create his own shot and is an effective
scorer inside and out. I'm not saying he
should be a feature guy, but I think he can
help the Bucks win right now. Also, I'm
concerned that by keeping him mired on the
bench, he could be getting discouraged and
souring on the Bucks for the future.

So, please Jon, give me your perspective on
the situation. I'm also very interested in the
thoughts of other bloggers, but gently, please,
gently. Hope this blog is rowdy but respectful.

Chad Ford could be lying, its possible. But he is has a good reputation and I doubt his anonymous reputable source would be the agent that brandon just axed. That would be totally unprofessional and wouldn't make much more sense than asking the guy on the street about Jennings future.

It's so easy for those who already have the mindset that Jennings doesn't want to be in Milwaukee to believe the Ford tip as true and Jennings lying about his denial. While the conspiracy of an agent revenge plot maybe the opposite side of the mindset, it's a lot more plausible that Jennings and his agent had “irreconcilable differences” if he fired him. In fact, Jennings could have literally said those two words, except about his agent, and they were just taken completely out of context. It's really not ridiculous to believe a source or the media would spin words to their favour.
