Yea I’m skeptical about Larry taking charges as well…. but in Ersan’s case being slow doesn’t mean a player is better off taking charges, in fact a player has to be somewhat quick and more importanlty quick to react to be in position to take a charge in the first place.

The need to draw charges rather than defend shots probably says more about a player’s aggressiveness and jumping ability than their quickness or reaction time.

I have a love/hate relationship with Ersan’s proclivity for being run over and so do the referees.

i dont think there is much need for larry to take charges because he is so good at shot blocking, guys like ersan are undersized and slow so taking charges is something they need to do

I think Bogut’s body took a bigger toll from the freakish arm breaking and ankle breaking catastrophes, along with chronic back problems… not so sure taking charges ever got him sidelined.

I dont know about you fellow Bucks fans but reading about Larry saying that he wants to try to add taking charges to his game makes me a bit nervous. Bogut was great at that but his body took a big time toll with all of those spills to the floor.
