I'm trying not to get too high or too low
with either Monta or Brandon. They're tough
to figure out.

The difficulty with both guys, it seems to me,
is that for all their skills neither is a classic
point-guard nor a classic shooting-guard.
They're hybrids.

I think what we need most is a true point-guard,
with commanding floor-leadership and the ability to
break down tough defenses with the dribble and the
pass. I'd go for an exciting young point-guard in
the first round of the draft, and also try to get
a good veteran at the same position, trading one of
our many frontcourt guys, though not Larry or John.

I would keep Monta or Brandon, but not both, and the
choice would depend in large part on whether either
one of them really wants to stay in Milwaukee. They
both seem like good guys, but it would be important
after the season to evaluate which one has the most
upside in terms of talent and attitude.

Either Monta or Brandon could contribute a lot as
primarily a shooting-guard along with J.J. --
if they are willing to embrace a role where they would
not be the main guy, but rather one of the main guys.
I could see either one playing 30-36 minutes; making
$6-$8 million per year with incentives; contributing
significantly to what I hope will be an improving team;
and having a nice relationship with Bucks fans.

Quis was like a mosquito buzzing James all night...he doesn't have the same physical prowess, but he was irritating as hell. Nice job of stepping up for the team.

Now Larry, on the other hand, is taking a step in the wrong direction by getting ejected two games in a row...or any games for that matter. He might think it's fun to give the refs a thumbs up as he walks to the locker room, but that's where it ends. Not impressed.

Actually, I was more disappointed with the Dallas & Wizard game losses. My expectations were higher. They put up a good fight and did a lot of things right, just need a little (a lot) more work.

Go Bucks!

Do you still want to play the Heat first round now Jennings? I would definitely take Ellis over Jennings this off season. Ellis at least tries to make something sooner in the shot clock whereas jennings wastes 15 seconds off the shot clock before trying to do something. I love Dunleavy but you can tell that he is starting to get fatigued. He isn't getting his legs under his shot. We need to reduce his minutes if possible and save him for the future. Then in the offseason i think we should go after Korver. He's a younger Dunleavy. I'm not sure how much he will cost but i would definately consider him.

Im somewhat with ya on your posting Patti...Heat were doubling down on Monta(our best scorer last 6 weeks), and gambling that the Bucks couldn't keep pace without him-they were correct. Dunleavy was fed the ball outside the arc repeatedly in 1st half-open shot- CLUNKER! DOINK!
BACK RIM! Dunleavy makes a few, Heat have to stay with him-more 1on1 for Monta. Painful to see good passing out of the double team for open looks that wont go,think the whole team was somewhat TIGHT.... :(

As far as Ellis for the future- I admit my past dislike of his game-he has proven everyone wrong since all star break. Consistent scoring, willingness to take contact at rim,he clearly is a better option at PG. Will he stay here? Does he REALLY want to be a Buck going forward. I hope so...going to stay positive- Enjoy last 18 of reg. season

It is worth pointing out that Dunleavy's poor shooting is really hurting. The guy plays smart and takes open shots, but when they aren't falling, the Buck's usually aren't winning. I really like Mike and I feel like he is one of a handful of players that play better than their contract.

I've come to notice that with the new and improved Ellis, matched with Jennings is a worse fit than before. Ellis is at his best cutting, driving, distributing. He can't do those things when Jennings is dribbling in circles, waiting for the shot clock to force something to happen.

I don't expect a lot out of this team as far as the post season goes. Their going to make the playoffs by default. I've started to look forward to the off-season and I want Ellis as my PG moving forward. I might be the minority, but Ellis is so much more down to earth and professional in his approach. Anyone that follows Jennings on twitter knows what I'm talking about.
