|Ersan Ilyasova, PF Shot Chart 31 MIN | 6-22 FG | 3-4 FT | 8 REB | 1 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK | 0 TO | 16 PTS | -17
I can’t remember the last Bucks player that missed as many 1-foot jumpers as Ilyasova. He would probably be a better finisher if he wasn’t attempting to get shots up as fast as possible in attempts to avoid being blocked because he can’t get off the ground. He offers more flip shots and slapped up attempts at the rim than any other big man in the league, I’m sure of it. Somehow, he’s shooting 54.4% at the rim this season. I want a recount.
Also, Blake Griffin is a difficult guy for him to guard.
|Khris Middleton, PF Shot Chart 38 MIN | 7-15 FG | 0-0 FT | 4 REB | 3 AST | 2 STL | 0 BLK | 2 TO | 14 PTS | -18
Padded his stats a bit as one of the only players to still care about the basketball being played with less than six minutes to play. A few steals and a few layups and dunks led to eight easy points in some of the most garbage time you’ll ever see. Otherwise, he made no difference on the outcome of this game.
|John Henson, C Shot Chart 27 MIN | 5-10 FG | 1-2 FT | 8 REB | 2 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK | 1 TO | 11 PTS | -21
He’s got a good left hook. That’s where the kudos stop for him on Monday night. DeAndre Jordan tossed him around like he was a dog with a chew toy. Jordan dwarfed the skinny Bucks forward masquerading as a center and looked like he deflated Henson early in the game. A highlight for Jordan seemed to be the first play of the second half when he knew Henson in the post would lead to a Henson left hook. As Henson made his move, Jordan jumped all of his left hand and almost took the ball out of it before Henson was able to launch it.
|Brandon Knight, PG Shot Chart 28 MIN | 3-12 FG | 3-4 FT | 2 REB | 7 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 2 TO | 9 PTS | -29
Worst game in a while, made worse merely by the lack of Chris Paul and presence of Darren Collison. Having a bad game against Chris Paul is expected. Being so thoroughly outplayed by Collison? Less expected.
|Giannis Antetokounmpo, SG Shot Chart 37 MIN | 3-7 FG | 2-4 FT | 7 REB | 3 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK | 1 TO | 8 PTS | -27
He’s racking up fouls with increasing regularity and his turnovers are on the rise a bit, but that owes to his increased involvement in actual plays. His offensive movements are certainly unrefined, but he’s got the physical tools to make plays no one else can, as evidenced by the two GIANT steps he took en route to a reverse layup at one point.
|Caron Butler, SF Shot Chart 23 MIN | 4-8 FG | 0-0 FT | 5 REB | 1 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK | 3 TO | 11 PTS | -7
Could not veteran lead the Bucks to within 20 points for most of the game.
|Miroslav Raduljica, C Shot Chart 23 MIN | 4-6 FG | 3-4 FT | 6 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK | 0 TO | 11 PTS | -5
He offered little resistence against Jordan, who illustrated what it looks like when physical tools meet intense passion. While Raduljica held up fine against the Pistons, who played with the energy of zombified zombie corpses (that’s right, DOUBLE ZOMBIE), he could not do the same against a focused, frightening Clipper front court.
|Nate Wolters, PG Shot Chart 18 MIN | 1-6 FG | 2-4 FT | 0 REB | 3 AST | 2 STL | 0 BLK | 0 TO | 4 PTS | -9
Missed a 3-pointer by about a foot and a half at one point.

Flu. (As if he would have played anyway.)
Out of options.
Three Things We Saw
- Dunks … by the Clippers. I believe the finally tally was seven, which wasn’t as bad as most expected. It could have been eight though, but Blake Griffin delighted the crowd by whiffing on this one.
- Losing to a depleted Hawks team is bad. Losing to a focused Clippers team looking to end a road trip with a statement during a season in which they are out to prove they are a legitimate contender … not as bad. The Bucks shouldn’t get used to losing by 28, but there will be nights like this when they play the best teams.
- I appeared on ClipperBlog Live after the game and exchanged jokes and notes with Andrew Han and Seerat Sohi. Go watch! It’s better than this recap.
