According to SBNation, former NBA center and Philadelphia Sixers assistant coach Greg Foster will join Jason Kidd’s staff in Milwaukee as an assistant coach next season.
In a move that shocked many with the Sixers, Greg Foster left Philly for a “big promotion” to a full Assistant Coach with Milwaukee.

Foster’s work with injured rookie center Nerlens Noel was highly regarded around the internet. Reports often had him working out with Noel after practices while the big man worked his way back from a torn ACL and rebuilt his jump shot form last season.
His NBA career spanned 13 seasons and nine teams, including a brief six game stint with the Bucks in 2001-02. While he’s about four years older than Kidd, both grew up in the Oakland area and count Gary Payton, another rumored staff addition, as a friend. Foster and Payton were even high school teammates at Skyline High School in Oakland in the late 1980’s.
Before joining the Sixers last season he served as a student-assistant and then assistant coach at the University of Texas at El Paso.
Foster’s addition brings Kidd’s official staff to four, as he joins Eric Hughes, Sean Sweeney and Josh Oppenheimer, a carryover from last year’s staff.
