2 dribbles, 70 feet: A short video history of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s long strides
Giannis Antetokounmpo did that thing again this week where he goes many feet in few bounces. This time, he pummeled Turkey in a pre-FIBA tuneup with a 70-foot, 2-dribble dunk.
Giannis has done a lot of this so far, and there’s no reason not to expect more as the 19-year-old gets older and stronger.

And here’s an 80-foot, 3-dribble Eurostep into against a moderately set defense following a made basket (Sorry, Birdman):
Lastly, here’s one of Giannis defending that’s more about heart (and defense) than strides:
We should probably be using the metric system to measure distance in a FIBA matchup (for instance, a FIBA court is only 28 meters, leaving it a bit over 2 feet shorter than an NBA court), but all these distances sound much more impressive in feet. So the feet remain.
