The Milwaukee Bucks will sign Micheal Eric to a minimum salary deal, according to Shams Charina.
Given the limited information of this report and the reports that the good man Shams usually provides, I’ll assume this is a non-guaranteed contract and Eric is a player who’ll be brought on to merely fill out the training camp roster. He’ll likely be cut around October 23 and then head, most likely, the Milwaukee’s D-League affiliate in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The 6-foot-10 forward/center averaged 8.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in six games with the Texas Legends of the D-League last season before suffering a knee injury. In 2012-13 he 8.6 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in 53 games with the Canton Charge. He played at Temple after finishing high school in United States at the age of 16 after coming over from Nigeria.
Eric has suffered four patella fractures since February of 2011 the most recent coming on December 20 of last year.
