Jabari Parker injures left knee, leaves game

Jabari Parker injured his left knee early in the third quarter of the Bucks’ game against the Phoenix Suns and had to be carried off the court.

Parker was handling the ball in the open court and planted to make a move to the hoop near the free throw line. His left knee flexed inward sharply at a completely unnatural angle.

Parker sat on the floor holding his left knee for an extended time — pained but calm — before being carried off by teammates Zaza Pachulia and Johnny O’Bryant, who himself was carried off in a similar manner early in the preseason.

The Bucks later stated that Parker was officially diagnosed with a left knee sprain, a diagnosis that leaves open a wide range of possible outcomes until further tests are performed.
