Episode 52: Desmond Mason talks Bucks, life after basketball

In this episode, Nick and Jeremy discuss the Bucks’ first two victories and are joined by 10-year NBA veteran Desmond Mason to discuss his career, his two stints in Milwaukee, and life after basketball.

If you want to hear more from Desmond, here’s where you can find the Thunder Buddies Podcast from last season that we referenced a few times in this episode. And be sure to visit his personal website, DMasonArt.com, to check out what he’s been up to since retiring from the NBA.

*If you’re just here for Desmond, skip to the 24:30 mark of the podcast so you don’t have to hear us talking about the Bucks.

And, of course, “We Dem Hornets”

As always, please make sure to head over to iTunes and subscribe so you can enjoy the sonic version of us piping hot whenever we cook it up. And as long as you’re over there, drop a review and let us know that you love us. Five stars is preferred, but we can live with five stars or five stars as well.

Here is where you can review us, if you’re so inclined. Jeremy will may write a haiku about you if you do.

  1. Great episode guys. Really cool that you were able to have a former player on and Desmond was an interesting player to hear from. Good questions too.

To get some more insight/views on Milwaukee I think Michael Redd would be a good interview. Why he decided to stay (other than a money standpoint) and what it was like to be on one team for almost an entire career. His take on coming back from a knee injury and what Parker can do and look for on his journey back.

Going back to Herb Kohl I wonder if having a guy like John Henson on would be possible and touch on the differences between Kohl and current owners.
