Bucksketball Podcast

Author Archive: Jeremy Schmidt

Jeremy Schmidt writes the Milwaukee Bucks blog Bucksketball. He founded it in January of 2009 because he hated his job. It’s like basketball, but with Bucks instead of basket. I know ... I’m sorry.

He might come off as a bit negative, but I'm really not so bad. He just wants the Bucks to succeed, so he points out areas where they are coming up short. Someone has got to do it and he's ornery and opinionated enough to take on that task. He isn't sure if this should be in third person or not.

Contact him at Jeremy@Bucksketball.com if you must use e-mail.

Milwaukee Bucks begin draft workouts

| May 9, 2014 | 1 Reply

ShareThe Milwaukee Bucks will officially begin draft workouts today. No, the Milwaukee Bucks very likely won’t be drafting any of the members of today’s workout group, but, given the local ties of a couple of the players, it’s possible one could find  his way onto Milwaukee’s Las Vegas Summer League team, ala Mike Bruesewitz last season. ShareMiroslav Raduljica Moves very slowly. Solid player may exist, within mighty frame. In one pre-game media session, Larry Drew spent a good 45 seconds discussing Raduljica’s strengths as a shooter. I remember him talking about his stroke and how we haven’t really seen it yet, but his ability was there. ‘Slav didn’t get much of [...]

ShareDJ Stephens Jumps so very high Other discernable skills? Those remain unclear. ShareLarry Sanders Trouble on/off court tried the patience of many. Enjoys Instagram. Inconsistency is often the hallmark of a bad season for a basketball player, but it’s hard to say Sanders was inconsistent this season. He was injured in the exhibition season. He was injured throughout most of November, December, February, March and April. He [...]

ShareThe season from hell. Where everything went wrong. Where everyone got hurt. Where the coach could never install what he wanted to do. Where players fought with each other. Where a centerpiece was nearly arrested and definitely suspended. Where the team lost more games than it ever had before. I thought for certain I would [...]
